While many of Europe's finest cities boast a market square, cathedral or other unique landmark at their epicentre, Bratislava is marked by the ginormous Tesco hypermarket - read into that what you will! Here you'll find almost everything imaginable from clothing to food, cosmetics, souvenirs, toys, alcohol, sporting goods, photo booths, pizzerias, internet cafes, you name it - it's there and it's dirt cheap. Whether you like it or not, you'll find yourself in this store for some reason or another, be it to buy a 2 litre bottle of beer for Ä.20 or to get new passport photos after your documents went mysteriously missing after a night in Bratislava's bars. |
