When it opened at the end of 2000, Polus City Centre became the first 'western-style' shopping complex in Slovakia. Since then you may have noticed the giant Tesco in the middle of town, as well as Aupark, which has pretty much all the same shops as Polus about the same distance (3 km) from the centre. At Polus, choose amongst an enormous Carrefour hypermarket, a multikino cinema, Adidas, Puma, Pierre Cardin, Gameworld, McDonalds and exactly 165 other places to blow your cashwad. Shop for western styles at eastern prices, because - obviously - that's what Eastern Europe is all about... |
