Bratislava Zoo

|
Just six minutes away by bus, the Bratislava Zoo is a great destination for spending a day outside the city. Covering 96 hectares of Carpathian forest, the Bratislava Zoo boasts an impressive diversity of animal life: 1400 animals of 175 different species. The jewel in the zoological crown, however, is certainly the 'big cats,' including the South African white lions. The Zoo recently enjoyed a rehab, bringing breeding areas up to snuff with international standards, and reopening in 2006. Admission is almost criminally cheap, with peak admission being under Ä3 - and that includes the Dino Park! Take buses 30, 31, 32, 37, 39 or 92, getting off at Slavicie udolie. |
