A high speed motorway opened on Monday linking Bratislava with the Austrian capital. The new road - the A6 - has long been in the pipeline, and traffic is now putting it to the test.
But just how fast is this new connection? Well, if you're driving at a swift pace but still within legal limits, you should be able to make it in under an hour. Vienna and Bratislava are the two closest capital cities in Europe, and getting between the two has never been easier.
