World Hockey Championship To Take Place in Slovakia

 

In only a few weeks, all eyes will be on Slovakia as the international sports commuinty follows the action at the 2011 IHF World Hockey Championship. Taking place in Bratislava and Kosice, the tournament will see 16 teams battle it out through 56 games for top honours. The first stage of eliminations will be in group matches, with group A and D games taking place in Bratislava. This will include teams representing Russia, Slovakia, Germany, Slovenia, Finland, Czech Republic, Latvia, and Denmark. Eight more teams will duke it out in the eastern city of Kosice (approximately 400 kilometres away from Bratislava).

Catch the action from 29 April to 15 May 2011.
