Slovak Gothic Art visits Paris

The Cluny Museum in Paris, France has just opened a new exhibition featuring a collection of Slovak Gothic art. The show, entitled "With Gold and FIre" (D'Or et de Feu. L'art en Slovaquie a la Fin du Moyen Age), was curated by Dusan Buran and in co-operation with the Slovak National Gallery here in Bratislava, the Association of National Museums in Paris, and by the Cluny Museum.

The Cluny space has been filled with 66 historic works drawing from the Middle Ages straight into the heart of the Gothic period. The art on display has been borrowed from several museums and galleries, as well as several churches in Slovakia.

"With Gold and Fire" will be on display until January 11 2011.
