It's been a long road since the Slovakian team played in the World Cup. To be truthful, it was actually as Czechoslovakia in 1991. Well, since then it's been a series of disappointments for the tiny Central European country. But now, after a two-year march up the rankings, Slovakia has qualified for the World Cup in South Africa. Its scheduled match is June 15 against New Zealand. Best of luck to the team!
