Over 500 dandies from the cat kingdom strutted their stuff in Bratislava last weekend in a major International Show.

The furry fellows competed in four categories - Exotic and Persian (long-haired), medium-haired, short-haired, and Oriental. However, multicultural cats weren't left out in the cold - pusses born of mixed parentage competed in a category all of their own, much to the delight of local feline fans.

Cat-owners from across Europe descended on Bratislava for the show, and one of the highlights was the official induction of a newly accredited breed - the Kurilian Bobtail. This short-tailed bundle of fur is very closely descended from the natural breeds such as the wild cat - long live the Bob!
