Viva Musica

Viva Musica bursts into song again this summer in Bratislava with a great programme and line-up of international performers. The festival aims to bring 'high brow' entertainment, including classical music and opera, to the masses.

Highlights of the eight days include a dazzling jazz adaptation of Tchaikovsky's 'The Nutcracker', a virtuoso show 'Sax Machine' sexily performed by a quartet of French saxophonists and hitting the top bar world famous Slovak soprano Adriana Kucerova. This promises to be a flower chain of enchanting and inspiring shows set within some of the loveliest parts of the city, including the main square and palace court yards, all sprinkled with a dab of fairy dust magic.

Shakespeare in the City

Shakespeare comes to Slovakia this summer for five weeks of performances of some of his most-loved plays. The medieval splendor of Bratislava's castle will form the backdrop to the Bard's plays, which will include MacBeth, The Comedy of Errors and The Merry Wives of Windsor.
