UFO

One look at this lofty venue atop of the Novy Most (New Bridge), and you'll see how the saucer-shaped bar earned the moniker UFO (even if technically it's neither unidentified or flying). Anyhow the little green men who landed it seemed to have set off to explore the planet, leaving the current owners a prime opportunity to set up their restaurant-cum-club. You'll have to pay for the elevator up, but once at the top you'll find yourself in a perfect position to watch the sunset over Bratislava, cocktail in hand. Just be sure to get there early, because UFO's often out of space...

I would argue that some reviewers have missed the point a bit here. Yes it is pricey compared to the rest of Bratislava but the restaurant UFO is a aiming a little higher than the norm. On the whole it reaches it and I would say it is comparable to a one Michelin star restaurant so not really overpriced. If you're seeing Bratislava on a budget then definitely avoid & just go for the €6.50 lift up to the viewing platform, which is pricey say compared to the Effiel Tower but I feel it would be a shame not to put it on your to do list.

6.50 to go up in the lift then pay for a drink. not worth it.

you can go up for free if you reserve a table. meals expensive though

Visited the UFO on 06/12/08 and all I can honestly say is don't go. Horifically expensive food, dated decor, and a cold atmosphere. I left feeling robbed, save your money.

Worth a trip... Crap cocktails but the view is superb... Avoid if windy!! Take a visit to the traps in the gents and check out the view....
