The Dubliner

I live in Bratislava and don't go here much. It was okayish the few times I've been. Food is mediocre but it's relatively authentic. There are better Irish bars in Bratislava, but none are as easy to find. Note that the lad above says to avoid if you want a bit of Slovenian culture. I couldn't agree more as the pub is based in SLOVAKIA. Gotta question if he's even been there - that review would have been entirely possible from looking at the pictures. Chancer!

UFO

I would argue that some reviewers have missed the point a bit here. Yes it is pricey compared to the rest of Bratislava but the restaurant UFO is a aiming a little higher than the norm. On the whole it reaches it and I would say it is comparable to a one Michelin star restaurant so not really overpriced. If you're seeing Bratislava on a budget then definitely avoid & just go for the €6.50 lift up to the viewing platform, which is pricey say compared to the Effiel Tower but I feel it would be a shame not to put it on your to do list.

Cirkus Barok

A total crap hole, avoid at all costs! We went there on a supposed quiet night (Tuesday) and witnessed 4 seperate fights! Girls were cold & being watched by their gorilla boyfriends non-stop. AVOID!!!!!!

The Dubliner

I've been there on a couple separate trips. They pour a good pint. I drank the Smithwicks, but the Guinness looks good. I asked about Irish music, but though they tried, Jud Strunk was about as authentic as it gets here. They had CDs from a coupla Irish/Slovak bands, but they didn't quite get the music. The atmosphere was good, and the Irish food and the local fare wasn't bad. With s good live Irish band it could really kick ass.

Slang Pub

Fine pub. If you visit the website, beware, the prices are still in the old currency. It's in euros in the bar. Cheers!

Grandes Melones

Very small, almost unremarkable little bar but they make really beautiful cocktails! The best I've ever tasted! I can just recommend.

its overpriced the sad thing is that the original design was nicely communist and retro and now it has no soul, superb views

Cirkus Barok

its small and sweaty and has no class BUT Bratislava people are beautiful and friendly so its the opposite of clubs in the UK, dodgy and exciting but truly unpredictable and not filled with accountants with bald patches not dancing and trying to look cool in a clean boring club... it depends what you are looking for...

Slang Pub

friendliest service I've had in Bratislava (I live in SK and come here often) by Paul. . . his good mood was infectious so I enjoyed the free wifi and stayed drinking. . . good (huge!!) pizza!

Cirkus Barok

bad bad club... doormen under drugs, VERY loud music, strange atmosphere on the dancefloor (prostitution ?). plus a fight between a customer and a pim. what a nice evening !

Slang Pub

This was without doubt our favourite place during our stay in Bratislava. The staff were fantastic (especially Karolina) and couldnt be more helpful. We were a 16 strong Stag party and unlike many other places around the city they welcomed us with open arms so a big thanks to Slang Pub!!!!! If your in or going to Bratislava soon make sure you go there and get on that Kelt....!

Slang Pub

This bar is quality if you're with a group of lads on a stag do, the weather was lovely and the kelt was flowing.....big time, a must if you wanna get steaming in the summer and play drinking games. Also the bar staff are lovely.
